"Lack of Integrity: I have been a client with this agency for 10plus years, probably close to 13-15 years. On 7/20/2023, I called Adam McCarty State Farm while at the Kia dealership to request full coverage insurance on a 2023 Kia Sorrento. The young lady I spoke with quote $80 something dollars and some cents. I questioned how the rate could be so low for full coverage. She assured me the quote was correct, I provided my credit card information and made the payment. Several hours later the same lady called back to say she had his quote the policy and it monthly rate would be $200 plus. She assured me this quote was correct and provided the same full coverage as our other financed vehicles. On 5/ 11/2024 my vehicle was sided-swiped will parked in a parking lot. The following week, I called Adam Mccarty’s office to report the accident (which was caught on videotape). At the time of start my claim, a female representative at A. McCarty informed me that , “ you don’t have rental coverage.” I stated to her, in the 10 plus years of being a customer we have always maintained rental coverage on all our vehicles that are financed. The lady stated it was a “new girl” that I spoke with when I started the policy in July 2023 and she somehow left it off. I ask why was I not informed or what declination did I sign refusing the rental coverage. The Adam rep was not able to answer my question. I add the rental coverage at that time for approximately $8/month more than my current rate. I express to the agent (I think it was Lindsey), I would never decline rental coverage for such a small fee. I take my car for quotes on repairs and all of the shops are stating it will be in for repairs 3-4 weeks. I call Adam McCarty back on 8/2/2024, I call Adam McCarty’s office and speak with Olivia. She tells me the billing and my account agents are not available. After insisting on speaking with someone, Vanessa picks up the phone. I again questioned why I was sent a declination to sign for uninsured motorists but no declination for the rental coverage. Vanessa states if you can find the binder sent to you when you called for the new policy ( 7/20/23) we maybe able to help. Vanessa further stated she should have got you to sign the binder the day the quote was provided for the new policy. I checked my records and found an electronic document sent, but was unable to open as the documents were no longer available. I asked Vanessa did her records show a binder was ever sent and she stated no. I told her how disappointing this process has been with mistakes made that was not my fault. Vanessa stated, “I understand and that’s why that person is no longer here as of 11/2023.” Vanessa state she would speak wit Lindsey my account rep and Lindsey would be following up with me.” As of 8/8/2024, I reached out to the McCarty agency as no one had responded to my last contact on 8/2/2024. Vanessa answer’s the phone, I identify myself, ask for Lindsey(my account rep). Vanessa asked what are you calling for? I state regarding my car insurance. She states that Lindsey is busy with a customer, but she heard her speaking with someone regarding my concerns. She would have Lindsey call me back. Lindsey calls back and states she talked to the underwriters and there is nothing can be done. That person is no longer with Adam McCarty. I let Lindsey know how upset I was that the agency allowed a new obviously inexperienced employee to handle my policy so poorly. Lindsey stated, “ people make mistakes.” I was livid and let Lindsey know as soon as my vehicle is repaired we will definitely be moving our 3 vehicles, motorcycle, and homeowners insurance from their agency. Lindsey sarcastically responded I’m sorry to hear that. I am requesting that Adam MCarty be held liable for allowing an inept employee to handle something as important as insurance policies, by taking full responsibility for my rental car coverage while my car is in for repairs."

"Joyce, I am sorry for your experience. We take integrity very serious and that is a very strong accusation. Nothing about your experience has anything to do with a lack of integrity. You and I have spoken about this and I do believe it was your intention to have rental added to your policy. As you told me, you also understand that you have a responsibility to review the documents that State Farm mails you and ensure that you are paying for the coverages that you think you have. Since this review was left, as you know I have worked with State Farm claims and underwriting and they agreed to back-date the coverage and honor your request. Based on our conversation you seem happy and satisfied with this outcome."
